About Me

I’ve taught high school math in both private and public schools and have a solid foundation in mathematics, though I’ll admit that my skills have become a bit rusty over time. That’s why I ask students to provide their specific problems or topics in advance—this allows me to prepare thoroughly and ensure I’m offering the best possible guidance.

My Tutoring Philosophy

I firmly believe that sometimes all it takes is a little help to unleash a student’s greatness. As math students, we can get hung-up on a tiny little piece that makes no sense at all. But, once that hurdle is cleared, it’s off to the races baby! By filling in the little gaps one can start to see how it all fits together and math students can charge forward with confidence.

How It Works

  • Subjects Offered: Elementary Math through the Calculus sequence, Probability, Statistics, and Linear Algebra.
  • Preparation: Students should provide problems or topics with some lead time so I can prepare effectively.
  • Cost: Absolutely free: I view this as an opportunity to share my knowledge and help others succeed.

I am a sixty-year-old wild eyed wanderer who has spent his entire life searching for that “one thing” as his life’s work only to realize that maybe there is no “one thing”. I have been a beer salesman, a high school math teacher, an insurance adjuster, a government service worker, and a grocery store clerk.

I have lived on both coasts and traveled frequently between the two and I am anxious to not only share my experiences with you, but to hear all about your experiences. Together we will make each other better!
