About William Adamaitis

I am a sixty-six-year-old wild-eyed wanderer who has spent a lifetime chasing that elusive “one thing” only to realize—maybe there isn’t just “one thing”. Maybe life is richer, deeper, more honest when we let ourselves be shaped by many chapters, many questions, and many callings.

I’ve been a beer salesman, a high school math teacher, an insurance adjuster, a government service worker, and a grocery store clerk. I’ve lived on both coasts and traveled the long road between them more times than I can count. Each stop along the way has added something to who I am—not just in résumé lines, but in perspective.

bricks, building blocks, tower, wooden cubes, cube, toy, stacked, build, building blocks, building blocks, building blocks, building blocks, building blocks

This space began as an experiment — part journal, part classroom, part laboratory of ideas. Over time, it’s become something more: a place where I can think out loud, test assumptions, and trace the connections between education, policy, and the human experience.

I’ve worn many hats — teacher, analyst, student, observer — but writing has always been the through line. It’s how I make sense of the world.
Here, I’m not trying to be right so much as to be honest — to find meaning in the mess and, if I’m lucky, to give voice to something that feels true.

I believe we grow through shared stories, honest inquiry, and the courage to wrestle with uncomfortable truths. I hope my writing helps make the world a little more thoughtful. I hope yours does too.

Let’s learn from each other. Together, we’ll make each other better.

Welcome to Bungalow 204 — a place where learning never ends, and where curiosity is the only credential that really matters.

I am a sixty-year-old wild eyed wanderer who has spent his entire life searching for that “one thing” as his life’s work only to realize that maybe there is no “one thing”. I have been a beer salesman, a high school math teacher, an insurance adjuster, a government service worker, and a grocery store clerk.

I have lived on both coasts and traveled frequently between the two and I am anxious to not only share my experiences with you, but to hear all about your experiences. Together we will make each other better!
